We all know the pervasive impact of the microprocessor on humankind. There have been several notable architectures in history (well since the late 1960s), and recently AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) has been steadily delivering many performance and price-oriented chips. We will hear from AMD their roadmap and several technical features which will be interest to EE professionals, students, researchers as well as end users from all walks of life.
