Section 60th Anniversary Celebration
The IEEE Southeastern Michigan Section first formally came into existence when the local units of the AIEE and IRE merged. It has now been a nice long 60 years, hence this celebration. Details about its history can be perused at the Section (https://r4.ieee.org/sem/) and has also been recently updated/published in the October 2023 edition of the Wavelengths – the monthly newsletter (archive can be found(https://r4.ieee.org/sem/about-sem/sem-history/wavelengths-magazine-archive/)).
The plan is to invite IEEE members and their families, friends and guests, to come and enjoy a afternoon of musuem visit, followed by an evening reception appetizer buffet/hors d'oeuvres, then a brief awards ceremony, and a distinguished IEEE speaker talk on the Future Challenges plus a sumptous dinner.
