Prof. Petro will discuss her research into the physics of expanding ion beams and the chemistry of particle collisions in the context of electrospray ion sources for electric propulsion. Results from numerical models will focus on the dynamics and chemistry of the expanding plumes and opportunities for using the ion sources in other fields.
