Invited Speaker Talk: AI and CyberCrime
April 11, 2019 @ 21:30 - 23:00
Co-sponsored by: Sharan Kalwani
What the business community means by Artificial Intelligence or AI today is the commercialisation of information technologies related to
machine learning. Unlike traditional software, the applications of machine learning automate tasks that previously required the innate
ability of human mind to learn, analyse unstructured data from multiple sources, and make good decisions based on intuition. Like
any new type of technology, machine learning offers new opportunities for crime. This talk will highlight how machine learning misuse can be
classified as a form of cybercrime and what challenges machine learning evidence may pose in litigation.
