Call for Volunteers: 15th Trebuchet Egg Throw Contest

Bettendorf High School, 3333 18th Street, Bettendorf, Iowa, United States, 52722

[] Quad CIty Engineering & Science Council is holding its 15th Trebuchet Egg Throw Contest on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Bettendorf High School 3333 18th Street. The event will take place on the football practice field south of track/football stadium. This is a pre-university program run annually by QCESC, with partner societies. We are VERY MUCH IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS for this event. High School Students from several area high schools have formed teams to compete in this fun and educational event. Students build trebuchets to toss raw eggs at targets, and they explain their designs to a panel of judges. No prior experience is needed and you don't have to be a STEM professional to help out. Here's a chance to spend a day with some amazing students. Employees may wear attire with company logos to show how industry supports this event.
