The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Central Indiana (CI) Affinity Group (AG) is thrilled to present an exclusive opportunity for IEEE CI members to tour the Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) facility in Lafayette, Indiana. SIA, a proud member of the Subaru family, serves as the North American production hub for popular models such as the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy, and Outback. With a workforce of over 6,500 associates dedicated to quality, safety, and environmental responsibility, SIA represents excellence in modern automotive manufacturing. We are delighted to invite you to this unique plant tour, where you can witness award-winning automotive assembly in action! This guided tour offers an up-close look at SIA’s state-of-the-art facility and provides an opportunity to observe Subaru vehicle production from start to finish. Event Details: · Date: Friday, May 9, 2025 · Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM · 9:30 AM – Networking session with light breakfast · 11:00 AM – Guided plant tour (1.5 hours) · Location: Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc., Lafayette, Indiana · Cost: Free for all IEEE members (registration required; first come, first served), however, the individual transportation to the SIA plant is is not supported. · Special Notes: The tour is on an elevated catwalk, where we will be walking a fast-walking pace, up and down 250 individual stair steps, and walking around 3,500 steps total.
