Modes of Electrical Trauma

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/449254

Everyone should be aware of the hazards of electrocution by this time. Delving further into electrical hazards related to the power industry the primary hazards addresses with an arc-flash is the incident energy release - electrocution, temperature, and mechanical trauma. The focus is generally related to the physical modes of injury - that is burns and electrocution. What if the potential modes of injury extend well beyond the physical perspective? Dr. Raphel Lee, founding member of CETRI based in Chicago, will introduce us to the other modes of injury that can result from involvement with electrical hazards. Please join us for an informative hour long virtual presentation held on Dec 10th starting at noon. PHDs will be available for those who successfully reply to the questions posted in the chat during the event. LEVERAGING LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/447972

In this session, Abhishek Alladi will delve into the fascinating world of large language models and their transformative impact on software engineering. The presentation will highlight various practical examples such as defect summarization, test generation, and code generation. Attendees will gain insights into how these models can be seamlessly integrated into different phases of the software life cycle, fostering continuous evolution and improvement. I will introduce autonomy use cases within the aerospace domain, and by the end of the session, the audience will have a basic understanding of the potential and practical applications of large language models, empowering them to harness these advanced tools in their own projects.
