The IEEE Twin Cities Section is hosting a virtual Senior Member Elevation Event to elevate qualified section members to the Senior Member grade. IEEE 140th Anniversary Celebration

The IEEE first formally came into existence in 1884. It has now been a nice long 140 years, hence this celebration. Details about its history can be perused at the IEEE History website and has also been recently updated/published . The plan is to invite IEEE members and their families, friends and guests, to come and enjoy a afternoon of museum visit, followed by an evening reception appetizer buffet/hors d'oeuvres, then a brief awards ceremony, and distinguished IEEE speaker talks on the Future Challenges plus a sumptuous dinner. Also a special event memento will be given to all attendees commemorating the occasion.
