Notice of the 2024 Chapter election cycle for SEM R4. Greetings, It's time to conduct elections for our Chapter and Societies. Please contact me if you are interested in becoming an officer or want to help. This year IEEE has mandated that elections are to be conducted within each chapter and not the sole responsibility of the Section. To this end, each chapter will need to rally an election committee to seek out candidates and to conduct the election. Please see the list of open positions below. All Geo-units (Affinity Groups and Technical Chapters) officers remain as single year terms as shown below. Affinity Groups (all 4) and Chapters (all 18) Chair – assume office on January 1 for a one year term. Vice-Chair – assume office on January 1 for a one year term. Secretary – assume office on January 1 for a one year term. Treasurer – assume office on January 1 for a one year term. Our chapter elections will open on 5 August and close on 5 September. Plan to invite volunteers to seek election. Plan to invite volunteers to become part of the elections committee for the chapter. Duties will be to gather nominee names to add to the ballot below.
