On-site Visit with a Talk about the Duane Arnold Solar Plant projects

IEEE is invited to jump on a bus and visit the Duane Arnold Solar Projects while hearing a talk about the project. Transportation is limiting us to the first 10 Registrations before July 15. The tour is from 9:30 am - 11 am. We will meet at the NextEra office and once everyone has arrived and grabbed food/refreshments we will depart for the tour of the facility. The address of the NextEra office is – 606 1st St., Palo, IA 52324. Register below. Be at the Next Era office in Palo by 9:15am July 18. Features of Duane Arnold Solar I: - Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 50 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy with the potential to power up to 10,000 homes. - The project will be sited on an area of approximately 316 acres within an approximately 857-acre area. - Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2024. Features of Duane Arnold Solar II: - Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays capable of generating up to 150 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy with the potential to power up to 30,000 homes. - A 75 megawatt (MW), 4-hour battery energy storage facility. - The project will be sited upon approximately 815 acres within an approximately 1,780-acre area. - Subject to local and state approvals, the project is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2024.
