Statistical Insights with Graphs of Individual Data Values

As the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Similarly, a graph can be worth dozens of statistical calculations. Well-chosen graphical methods are an important part of successful data analysis. Graphs of individual data values provide insight into central tendency, variation, time trends, and correlation. This talk will introduce this valuable category of statistical graphics, show how specific graphical methods provide these insights and provide examples of each of these graphs.
