Our next MIPSE seminar will be presented by Dr. Yevgeny Raitses of Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. In this seminar (Wednesday, February 7, 3:30 pm in 1005 EECS), titled “Electron-beam generated plasmas and their applications – from materials processing to space propulsion”, Dr. Raitses will discuss his experimental and theoretical work towards understanding and applying moderate energy electron beams to produce partially ionized plasmas. These devices range from ExB configurations to magnetic confinement devices, with applications for nanomaterials fabrication and propulsion.
