Digital Smart Substation (DSS) Practices

They provide a location to step up or down voltage, equipment can be removed from service for maintenance or because of a fault and system operators can remotely and or locally monitor many aspects of a substations. And like all things today, substations are also advancing with our digital age. During this talk, we will explore what is Digital Smart Substation (DSS). This includes features of a DSS, an overview of IEC 61850, substation SCADA / network basics and Centralized Substation Protection. All attendees will receive a certificate for one PDH.
