Role of HPC and Simulation for Future Automotive Engineering Design

May 30 @ 5:00 pm - 7:07 pm EDT

This talk focuses on the increasing (some say critical) role of high-performance computing coupled with simulation for all future computer aided (CAE) engineering for complex automotive designs. It will start with the challenges faced by all automotive related engineers in the different areas/domains and then followed by the various underlying concepts of accelerated computing, using intricate simulation tools to address key engineering issues in crash/safety, noise & vibration, structural analysis, computational fluid dynamics for both external & internal problems, engines and electric vehicles, not to mention a host of related engineering & manufacturing areas
