Arc Flash Calculations for the latest revision of IEEE 1584

The 2018 revision of IEEE 1584 dramatically changed the equations and process for calculating the arc flash energies at equipment.  The new equations introduced some new parameters such as bus configuration and enclosure dimensions.  This presentation will go over the calculation steps necessary to calculate the arc flash at equipment and the impact the equation parameters have on the calculated outcome.

Brought to you by IEEE Nebraska’s INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS and POWER & ENERGY Technical Chapters.

The webinar will begin at 5pm followed qustions and answers and finally with announcements of other upcomming events.

A professional development hour PDH will be issued after the event for those who request one at the end of Q&A.

Presentation is November 16th starting at 4:30 pm. WebEx
