EMP Customer Training: NFPA 70B – Electrical Equipment Maintenance This session provides a clear and practical look at the 2023 NFPA 70B Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance and how it impacts electrical safety programs. In under an hour, participants will learn: - The Electrical Circle of Safety and how OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B work together. - The transition of NFPA 70B from a Recommended Practice to a binding Standard. - How to build and implement an Electrical Maintenance Program (EMP). - Key factors that determine the Frequency of Maintenance (FOM), including field variables and equipment constants. - The role of continuous monitoring, infrared scanning, IR windows, and spare parts as predictive maintenance techniques. - Documentation, compliance, and best practices for maintaining safe, reliable systems. This training is designed for facility managers, safety leaders, and maintenance professionals who want to better understand how NFPA 70B affects compliance, safety, and reliability.
