Just Energy – A Framework to Advance Energy Equity

Just Energy is a framework to advance energy equity – the fair distribution of the benefits and burdens of our energy production and consumption. During this event, Chandra will share about The Just Energy Circle and their work to cultivate relationships with a diverse consortium of systems leaders to be catalysts for policy change that will ensure that all people have access to: clean energy opportunities, consumer protections, fair energy costs, freedom from negative health impacts, and access to thriving wage employment.

We believe that this approach is the future of the sustainability movement and that the future of our communities is dependent upon “Just Energy” for all.

Chandra Farley, Partnership for Southern Equity

Chandra Farley is an activist at heart and credits her parents with instilling a sense of duty to always do what she can to advance justice and fairness. With a passion for elevating the connection between environmental stewardship, strong communities, and our daily lives, Chandra continues to build upon a career foundation in the design and construction industry. Currently, as the Just Energy Director at the Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE), Chandra develops community-centered strategies to advance energy equity through coalition building, leadership development, community organizing and leveraging data and research. While unfamiliar to many residents, equity-centered energy and utility policies significantly enhance household economic stability and improve the overall quality of air, water and other natural resources that affect our health and well-being.
