Asset Health Reviews and Transformer Condition Assessments

An Asset Health Review includes initial review of existing test data to assess technical condition and develop a general condition overview to identify units that are at greatest risk of failure (red, yellow, or green) and prioritize where to undertake a more detailed on-site on-line and off-line investigation. Transformer condition assessments involve a comprehensive review of all available data: including insulating fluid test data, electrical test data, loading history, fault history, maintenance and repair history, manufacturer service advisories, and industry trouble and failure reports. The presentation will provide examples of how Doble approaches condition assessments of transformers.
